Canaan Monster Cross Style Ride. Gravel ride with the heart of a mountain biker. Route includes West Virginia jeep trails, gravel roads, and singletrack. Recommended 40mm++ tires will be best. Route will highlight Blackwater XC Ski Trails, Canaan Loop Road, Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge Trails, Corridor H Gravel Rail Trail, and water will be available at Mile 23 but please bring snack and water of your own. Ride will finish with plenty of time to see the Trials Competition in the evening that starts at 5:00 p.m. at Camp 70 Trails Gateway.

This is a lollipop loop with a long, sustained climb on mudhole-pocked Canyon Rim Road to Olson Fire Tower. Climb the tower, then descend the Canyon Rim Trail back to forest road and the cars. Bonus option on the Thomas Trails. Overlooks and waterfalls included! Some Climbing fitness will be helpful, as well as snacks! Estimated time 3-four hours.

Ages 12 and under, no training wheels. This is a kid’s social ride. We will have a balance bikes/small wheels group as well as a beginner and an intermediate/advanced riding group. The ride includes stops to explore the forest, play and have a good time. We will be on the trails for around an hour. After the ride, the kids enjoy waffles and breakfast snacks. This ride will go to the confusing Dobbin House trail system, but don’t worry these old locals will give you the best tour. This ride is under 3 hours and a casual pace. There are lots of roots, but considered milder terrain for the area. E-Bike friendly.

Don’t tell NASA but the people of the valley go to the moon on a regular basis. Take a run at the classic Moon and Hoodoo Rocks loop and see some of the places that make this area so special. Pack for a 3-4 hour trip and bring a love for rocks, technical riding and people and snacks.
WOMEN’S INTERMEDIATE TECH RIDE @ 10:30 A.M. 📌 622 Canaan Heights Road

This plus/advanced ride will meander over the rocky, technical terrain of Canaan Mountain before plunging down toward Davis on a gnarly descent beloved by locals. After some time in the lowlands, the ride will steadily climb back up the mountain toward Loop Road and return to starting point. Bring plenty of food, water, and your sense of adventure!
