Canaan MTB Festival

The Canaan Mountain Bike Festival has become a highly anticipated annual event for mountain bikers across the East Coast. With its grassroots origins dating back to 2009, the festival is a celebration of all thing's mountain biking. Festival-goers can look forward to a variety of activities including group rides, a trials event, skill sessions, and even a scavenger hunt. Professional instructors will also offer men's and women's clinics, making this a perfect opportunity to hone your biking skills. What truly sets this festival apart is its welcoming, laid-back atmosphere that brings together a community of like-minded individuals. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, the Canaan Mountain Bike Festival is an event you won't want to miss. Gather your friends and family and start planning for a weekend filled with adventure, fun, and unforgettable memories. This event is typically held each year during the third weekend in June.

Revenge of the Rattlesnake

Looking for a challenging and exciting outdoor adventure? Look no further than our annual fundraiser event, The Revenge of the Rattlesnake Race. Held every year on the third Sunday in September. This 25-mile single loop backcountry mountain bike race will take you on a journey through the deep woods of Davis, testing your grit and toughness along the way. Participants will face 2500 ft. of climbing and descending all while navigating through rocks, roots, and mud. It's a true test of skill for adventurous riders. Do you have what it takes to conquer the Revenge of the Rattlesnake?

Monthly Trail Work Days

Tucker County is fortunate to have a thriving community of trail enthusiasts who work tirelessly to build, maintain, protect, and promote a network of trails throughout the area. Whether you are an avid hiker or just someone who appreciates the beauty of the great outdoors, there are countless opportunities for you to get involved as a volunteer. Thanks to our partnership with the Heart of the Highlands Trail organization, we offer regular trail work days throughout the months of May through October. Whether you can commit to every trail work day or just one, we welcome you to join us at Blackwater Bikes in Davis, West Virginia, where we gather to make a difference for our community and the environment.
