WE ARE A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION.

Blackwater Bicycle Association is a local chapter of the International Mountain Bike Association and the West Virginia Mountain Bike Association.

Our mission is to advocate for cycling in the greater Tucker County, West Virginia area. We work to ensure open access to bicycles, help with trail maintenance, and organize quality cycling events. 

We are a non-profit chapter of the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) that is based in Davis, West Virginia. We support public and private land managers in their efforts to maintain trails for bicycles. We support local recreational economy that views bikes as a way to experience nature, encourage conservation, bring community together, and have fun while doing it. We educate locals and visitors to use the trails responsibly and seek potential expansion of our incredible trail network.

Blackwater Bicycle Association was established to promote mountain biking, mountain bike racing, and the development and maintenance of mountain bike trails.

Vision

Blackwater Bicycle Association aspires to secure more public access to trails by partnering with other local nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and private and public land owners.

We work with land managers, property owners, and local and state governments to advocate for mountain bike use. We are continually at work to develop and maintain a network of sustainable mountain bike trails in Tucker County, West Virginia.
